... på bilden, tänkte jag! Idag inled jag en resa om att jaga grannbävern på bilden och skriva en dagbok om det. Lycka mig till för att det behövs. Bävrar är super skygga djur. Att fånga de på bilden tror jag kommer inte bli så lätt.

...Today I begin a dairy about my quest on capturing the neighborhood's beaver on my camera and have it uploaded on my blog. Wish me luck as beavers are very shy creature. Capturing them on camera won't be easy!

What a beautiful day! the sun shines and spring is in the corner (knock on wood, as you never know the weather here in Sweden).
Me, Hugo, the little ones, and Alex, the girl in the neighbor, took a walk in the sun today. I showed Alex a place on the side of the road where a family of beaver lives. i discovered it last weekend when I took a walk with Simon, my fiancé. I saw a fallen tree and it looked strange. i've noticed that the end part of the fallen tree was symetrically gnawed. imagine how a beaver gnaws a tree on animated film!
I became so happy and surprised that there are beavers close where I live. An extreme shy creature lives side by side with people and very close to a quiet busy crossing really did surprised me. That is the best part living in Nacka, you live very close to the nature. To be a neighbor to a beave family is a PRIVILEGE!!
Simple facts about beaver:
Beaver is one of the most missunderstood creature. They were haunted almost to extinction both for fur and thier glands use for perfume and medicinal purposes. Ranchers saw them as pest because they harvest wide area of forest and caused floods where they build their nest. But actually they are nature caretaker by harvesting trees grows decidous brushwood which benifits other animal. Insectlife becomes richer which attracts different bird spieces. And the flooded dam can be a bird sanctuary.
